Switch stitch is a technique that gives you a look similar to striped garter stitch but with the same effect on the front and the back, no bi-colored ridges. In this scarf, you will also create a mirrored design with a solid color on each side. Switch stitch is easier to knit than it looks and uses basic knitting techniques you probably already know. You'll use roughly 366m (or 400 yards) each of two colors of fingering/sock weight yarn, and size 3.75mm (US#5) needles are recommended.
This pattern was designed by Vicki Twigg and tech edited by Heather Murray.
